Information for businesses affected by The Tall Ships Races
The Tall Ships Races is the largest free family event in Europe and returns to Aberdeen after 28 years, expecting to draw 400,000 visits and more than 50 Tall Ships from across the globe from 19-22 July 2025. The event will take place in Port of Aberdeen’s North Harbour, across Waterloo Quay, Regent Quay, Upper Quay, Jamieson’s Quay and Blaikies Quay.

Business Access and Deliveries
We appreciate that the traffic management required for the safe delivery of The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen may impact your normal business operations, and we encourage you to review the enclosed information on these restrictions.
Where possible, we would encourage you to manage deliveries outwith the restrictions or to consider increasing orders on the lead up to the event.
On production of a valid access permit, delivery access will be facilitated daily between 23:30 - 07:30. Outwith these times no vehicle access will be permitted. All vehicles must be removed daily by 07:30.
To request an access permit or for further information, please contact tallshipsaberdeen@aberdeencity.gov.uk
We apologise for the disruption to your normal operations and thank you for your cooperation.
You can download the Event Information Engagement Flyer below.
Road Closures
To safely accommodate the expected visitors, a number of parking restrictions and road closures will be in place throughout the event footprint, as detailed on
the map overleaf. We would ask that you consider these restrictions and ensure that your operations are planned to reduce disruption to your business.
The Tall Ships Aberdeen team is keen to ensure that the organisation of this event causes minimal disruption to those working, visiting and residing within or adjacent to the event
sites.
